I was just looking at this picture and the text on it said "I don't even understand the connection...'He died for your sins.' Well how does one affect the other? I hit myself in the foot with a shovel for your mortgage." I'm a practicing Roman Catholic and was wondering how to refute this statement. Thanks!
Trying to compare the actions of a man, to the actions of a man who was also fully God is a fallacy. We don’t know by what mechanisms the grace that forgives our sins by the death on the cross work. It is sufficient to say it is the grace of the Holy Spirit.
